A British philanthropist slain by President William Ruto’s motorcade on Thursday may have been ran over several times, according to an autopsy performed on his body.
The autopsy determined that the Briton, named as Edgar Charles Frederick, 79, died from many fractures and injuries.
Zuriel further disclosed that Edgar’s torso and head were totally crushed. The pathologist said his left side had the most of the injuries.
The pathologist speculated that Edgar might have been ran over multiple times, causing serious injuries that ultimately led to his demise. According to their results, he was struck and then run over by oncoming vehicles.
Information that surfaced on Friday revealed that Edgar had visited his sister and nephew, who live in Kenya, before he passed away.
President Ruto’s convoy was traveling to a public event in Kibra when the tragedy occurred close to Adams Arcade on Ngong Road.
According to witnesses, Edgar was hit by a car from the procession as he tried to cross the street, probably on his way to a nearby mosque for prayers.
According to some reports, he might have had a hearing problem, which might have had a role in the mishap.
The driver of the government car engaged in the event, which was connected to the Nairobi Regional Coordinator’s office, was taken into custody after the incident and then released on cash bail while additional investigation was conducted.
