Two male suspects are being sought by detectives at the Embakasi Police Station for allegedly luring and sexually abusing a young woman before strangling her to death.
According to police, the suspects laid a trap for the dead, 29-year-old Naomi Wangare Mwangi, using a lady who is currently in their custody before carrying out the crime in the dark.
The body of Naomi was found dead in Embakasi on the evening of February 18.
The dead was forced to the ground by the unidentified attackers, who then proceeded to take advantage of her, according to witnesses. They claim that the entire neighborhood was alarmed by a long, high-pitched scream that reverberated through the night.
They discovered Naomi’s partially nude body when they arrived at the scene. By that time, her murderers had disappeared into the night.
After being informed, the police picked up the body and took it to the City Mortuary. They then notified Cornel Ekaset, Naomi’s husband, who was the next of kin.
Ekaset claims that Naomi left the residence after receiving a phone call from someone on that fateful night. Naomi went outside to meet the caller, leaving her daughter, who is nine years old, at home.
Naomi was not there when her husband got home from work until a neighbor knocked and broke the terrible news that his wife had been killed.
A female friend who had communicated with the dead prior to her murder was later taken into custody by investigators. Shortly before the event, according to the police, the suspect was spotted with Naomi and two adult males.
Since then, an autopsy has verified that Naomi was sexually raped by her killers and that she died from strangulation.
The suspects are still being sought by manhunt.
