    How to Pay KPLC Tokens via M-Pesa

    Buying KPLC tokens through M-Pesa is simple and convenient. Follow these steps:

    1. Open Safaricom SIM Toolkit and select the M-PESA menu.
    2. Choose “Lipa na M-PESA.”
    3. Select “Pay Bill” from the dropdown menu.
    4. Enter KPLC’s PayBill number, 888880, and press “OK.”
    5. Enter your KPLC prepaid meter number and press “OK.”
    6. Input the amount (between Sh100 and Sh35,000) and press “OK.”
    7. Enter your M-PESA PIN and press “OK.”
    8. Confirm the details and press “OK.”

    You will receive a confirmation SMS from M-PESA. KPLC will send the prepaid token via SMS. Enter the token into your meter box and press “Enter.”

    Paying via Equitel

    If you use an Equitel line, the steps are slightly different:

    1. Select “Eazzy Pay” from your Equitel menu.
    2. Choose “Pay Bill.”
    3. Select the bank account to pay from.
    4. Enter “KPLC Tokens” as the business number.
    5. Input your prepaid meter number and press “OK.”
    6. Enter the amount (between Sh100 and Sh500,000) and press “OK.”
    7. Enter your Equitel PIN and press “OK.”
    8. Confirm the details and press “OK.”

    You will receive a confirmation SMS from Equity Bank, followed by your prepaid token from KPLC via SMS.

    Paying Postpaid Bills via M-Pesa

    3. Input your new Kenya Power account number.
