A number of open positions at the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) have been announced.
According to an IPOA ad in the weekly government publication MyGov, interested candidates who fulfill the qualifications should apply by Monday, February 24, 2025.
Seven open positions are being sought after by the authorities.
Senior Assistant Director of Legal Services, Assistant Director of Investigations, and Assistant Director of Internal Audit and Risk are among the roles.
Additionally, the authority is looking to appoint a senior records management officer and a supply chain management officer.
A legal officer and a planning officer are the other two open positions.
The IPOA website is the destination for interested candidates seeking comprehensive job descriptions for the open positions.
“IPOA is an equal opportunity employer and shall not in its recruitment discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, ethnic origin, political affiliation, sex or sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital status, disability, health or social status,” the advertisement states.
“Canvassing will result in disqualification automatically. Attending an interview does not need a medical examination, and IPOA does not work with any recruitment firms. Only those who have been shortlisted will be contacted.
Interested parties must send their applications by hand delivery, email, or the postal service.
The job title and reference number should be prominently shown on the cover letter, envelope, and email applications.
Copies of their national identity cards, academic and professional certifications, a thorough CV, and the IPOA employment form should all be included with the application.
Before the specified application date, they must also submit the names and phone numbers of three referees.
In order to provide civilian oversight of Kenyan police operations, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority was created by an Act of Parliament published in November 2011.
