Authorities are searching for an individual suspected of murdering his girlfriend and subsequently contacting the Isinya police station in Kajiado County to confess.
The suspect informed the police that he had killed the woman on February 3.
As per the police, the 27-year-old suspect reported to them that he had killed his girlfriend, a 24-year-old woman named Risper Ngendo Munene, at a residence where he was employed as a caretaker in Olooltepes sub-location within Isinya sub-county.
The suspect then ended the call and disappeared, according to police. Since that time, he has had his mobile phone switched off.
During the weekend, the security officers arrived at the scene and discovered Ngendo’s body in a locked house.
At the same time, authorities are looking into an occurrence where a suspected murderer was discovered deceased in a cell at Chogoria police station, located in Tharaka Nithi County.
The individual suspected of child abduction was being detained at the police station as well.
Police reported that James Muthaura, aged 30, was discovered deceased on Thursday morning.
According to the police at the station, other suspects being held there screamed for attention, and upon checking, they discovered that the man had died by suicide as he hanged himself on the ventilation grill.
It has been reported that Muthaura hanged himself using his underwear.
