MCA Huruma Ward On Monday, March 3, 2025, Peter Owera Oluoch was taken into custody on suspicion of forgery and giving fraudulent information.
Owera had claimed to have a diploma from Kenya Polytechnic, according to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), but an independent inquiry showed that he had never attended the school.
He was also charged with filling out self-declaration forms with inaccurate information.
“On the Self-Declaration Form, Mr. Owera said that he had a diploma from Kenya Polytechnic. However, the suspect was never enrolled in Kenya Polytechnic’s Diploma program, according to the Commission’s verification, the EACC said.

“On diverse dates between November and December 1994, at an unknown time and place within the Republic of Kenya, with intent to deceive, the MP forged a KNEC certificate for KCSE, purporting it to be a genuine and duly signed certificate issued by KNEC,” the ODPP said on February 19.
