Political commentator Kevin Oduor has stirred intense public debate after questioning the official account of the State House spear attack that claimed the life of a General Service Unit (GSU) officer earlier this week.

In a fiery analysis posted on his Bold Analysis YouTube channel, Oduor described the incident as “bizarre and suspicious,” arguing that something is being concealed from the public. He alleged that the attack, which happened just minutes before President William Ruto departed for an event in Machakos, raises major concerns about security lapses at Kenya’s most guarded installation.

According to reports he cited, a man disguised as a street person approached Gate B of State House carrying a sack that concealed a spear. He then launched a sudden attack on one of the guards manning the gate, fatally injuring him before being subdued. What shocked Oduor was the revelation that the area — a critical clearance zone for visitors — was being manned by only three officers at the time.

“Why would such a sensitive gate be guarded by just three officers?” Oduor questioned. “Something doesn’t add up. This looks more like an infiltration than a random street attack.”

The analyst suggested that the “madman” narrative could have been fabricated to deflect attention from a deeper internal issue, hinting at the possibility of an insider plot or a staged cover-up. He also revealed that immediately after the incident, top security officials rushed to State House for a crisis meeting, and President Ruto was quickly evacuated from the premises.

Oduor further connected the attack to another mysterious killing of a GSU officer stationed at the JKIA perimeter, noting that both officers guarded critical government installations. He described the pattern as “alarming” and warned that these deaths could point to a broader security breakdown.

“Within 24 hours, two officers protecting vital facilities have been killed,” he said. “This cannot be a coincidence. The government must come clean and assure Kenyans that State House is secure.”

The analyst went on to speculate that the attack might have been part of a security drill gone wrong or even a targeted elimination intended to silence insiders aware of certain scandals. He stressed the need for an independent probe, questioning why State House has not released an official statement on the matter.

Oduor also observed that President Ruto appeared unusually tense and disturbed during his subsequent address in Machakos, suggesting that the head of state had been “deeply unsettled” by the incident.

“The president’s body language said it all. He looked shaken. Something serious is happening behind the scenes,” Oduor remarked.

As Kenyans demand clarity, the chilling nature of the spear attack has sparked renewed concern about the safety of national leaders and the integrity of the country’s top security systems.
