A police officer is accused of stabbing two hospital patients, leaving Siaya County residents stunned.
Prior to turning on other patients, the police officer was allegedly admitted to Rarieda Sub County Hospital.
The administrator of the hospital claims that the incident took place on Sunday evening. Nurses and the on-duty clinical officer hurried to the scene after hearing patients scream.
According to the hospital, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and a 14-year-old boy in the neck by a police officer from the Aram Police Station.
The officer was on his way to assaulting a third patient, but it took the hospital’s security and other employees to stop him.
The same clinic is providing treatment to the individuals who were hurt in the stabs. One has been removed for x-ray analysis.
Serah Koki, the Siaya County Police Commander, confirmed the event and said the officer was turned over to his fellow officers who had been called to the site.
