A teacher in his/her middle age from Ziwa area (located in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County) is held by the police following an alleged attack on a 14-year-old boy.
It has been reported that the incident took place after the young boy was herding livestock that wandered onto the teacher’s farm.
Reports suggest that the teacher allegedly assaulted the boy, resulting in injuries that made him bleed. Neighbors stepped in to halt the attack and save the boy.
Benjamin Mwanthi, the Police Commander of Uasin Gishu County, verified the arrest and mentioned that the victim was promptly transported to Ziwa Sub-County Hospital for treatment.
As part of the investigation, a P3 form for documenting injuries in assault cases has been filled out.
Commander Mwanthi stated, “We received an assault report, and our officers responded promptly.”
“The boy was treated, and the suspect is detained. He is set to appear in Eldoret court on Thursday to respond to the relevant charges.”
Mwanthi stressed the significance of peaceful dispute resolution and called on residents to refrain from vigilante actions.
