Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has declared that he will spearhead the effort to drive his predecessor, Rigathi Gachagua, out of town, asserting that the government will not be cowed by his anti-government campaign.
Hours after Gachagua’s televised interview in which he criticized the Kenya Kwanza administration from his Wamunyoro home, Kindiki quickly responded on Monday, firing back at Gachagua and stating that the former DP was panicking as the government began to turn the tide.
“The ex-DP ought to be in a panic regarding the consultative forums we are conducting. He hasn’t encountered anything yet. Kindiki stated, “We will run him out of town.”
The DP, who met with a delegation of around 2700 leaders and professionals from grassroots political, religious, and economic sectors across the 12 constituencies of Kiambu County, stated that Gachagua did not have a claim to the mountain.
Kindiki stated that the government will keep fulfilling its commitments to Kenyans, irrespective of how popular the projects may be.
“President William Ruto exemplifies a transformative leader. Regardless of the unpopularity that may result from it, he will act correctly. “He is not bothered by threats of one-term,” said Kindiki.
Since DP Kindiki assumed the role of the second most powerful office in the country, the Karen residence has buzzed with activity, primarily involving meetings with grassroots leaders to clarify government initiatives to residents.
DP Kindiki has already met with leaders from over eight counties, and more meetings are scheduled in the upcoming days as he assumes the role of chief implementer of government projects.
