TSC Salary Structure for Degree-Holding Teachers (Grade C2)

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) provides monthly compensation to all teachers, including those with degrees, acknowledging their essential role as the backbone of the education system. This payment extends to individuals holding academic diplomas.

Teachers do more than just impart knowledge; they play a key role in instilling values and shaping the perspectives of future generations. They are categorized based on their qualifications, ranging from degree holders to those with certificates, master’s, or PhDs. Each category comes with its own salary and benefits.

Below is an overview of the salary structure for degree-holding teachers, as provided by TSC.

TSC offers various salary levels based on factors such as a teacher’s tenure, credentials, and the type of school they are employed in. The government, through TSC, establishes minimum pay scales for educators and additional allowances determined by various criteria.

Additionally, these officers receive a monthly house allowance, the amount of which depends on their work location.

Teachers aiming for TSC’s entry-level salaries must meet several conditions. All degree-holding instructors are classified within the C2 service bracket, with a base salary ranging from Sh 36,621 to Sh 45,776 monthly. Teachers with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or its equivalent fall under this grouping.
